Starwars Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast

Today we will discuss the game Star Wars Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast. This name is too long for me to continuously type, so I will call it SJK2JO. This game came out March 27, 2002. So yes this game is older, but that doesn’t make it any less fun. I have played this game, but not finished it. If you have, good for you. I love this game! LucasArts did not waste any time on this game, as far as I can tell. I will tell you more about this game in the next paragraph.

This game puts you in the shoes of mercenary Kyle Katarn eight years after the fall of the Empire. After the first game (which I have not played, so I am basing this off of reviews of the game and basic plot structure) where Kyle Katarn finds out how is father died by the hands of Jerec, he must stop the Sith from gaining unimaginable power at the Valley of the Jedi. Or he can join them. Anyway, we’re not here to talk about the second one it’s about the third one we’re after! Anyway, now Kyle has given up his lightsaber and let his force powers drain away. But he figures out that your force powers never go away (or maybe he doesn’t know that, but I do!) and has to once more save the galaxy, again. What they also know is that the Remnant (the last of the Empire) is trying to create Force beings, and as you can probably guess, they succeed. Or at least I think they do, I’m also basing this game off of reviews and plot story lines. Anyway, in this game you will meet a number of powerful foes ( I think), combine awesome weapons (I know that one is true) and unleash your force powers on anyone just to make them look like a pansy! This game is fun so far, but I don’t know if it gets better.

Now, I love this game! I know I said it before, but it’s the truth. Now we’ll go over some pros and cons of the game. Bad new first, just to get it out of the way. The people talking, it looks like they have lock jaw. Their mouths don’t seem to keep up with the words, not to meting Kyle’s mouth looks square. Also, Padawan level (easy) is recommended for beginners. In my opinion anyway. If you have extreme puzzle solving skills (which means you can get past the third level) and can strafe like an expert, stay at Jedi and below. Now, for the good news. This game has very good weapons, allowing you to overcome enemies very easily. The enemies also get right in your face, even though they have guns. Another good thing about this game is that it combines puzzle solving and action with the sci- fi Star Wars universe that us gamers can appreciate. Those are only a couple of the good sides of the game. I wish that you all would play this game, and advice will be accepted.

When I finish this game I plan to write another post of the complete game. And all my opinions.
