Mother’s Day

Today we will discuss Mother’s Day. I don’t know when you’re reading this, but I’m writing it on Mother’s Day. So if you read this a week from now, at least you know when I wrote it. I was SUPPOSED to write about the third part of the Crazy Goggles Tour. But you know what? I decided Mother’s Day was more important. Mother’s Day more important than a blog tour? No way! You see,?we all learn something new each day. And I would just like to take this opportunity to wish my mom a happy Mother’s Day! We took her out to eat and gave her a present too. Man, what a good son I am. I mean my other brothers and dad helped too. I mean, who has to include them though? I’m kidding. My brothers are very special, even if they annoy the crap out of me some days. Just like my father, only minus the “annoying the crap out of me” part. He works his flipping butt off to provide for us and he holds a special place in my heart. Right there with my brothers and mom. In the next few paragraphs I won’t be describing the origin of Mother’s Day, but what mothers do for US. And by the way, that “US” does not?stand for the United States. Just in case you were wondering.?

I think there’s only one REALLY important question to ask yourself right now. And no, it’s not if you can get the high score on Halo 3 on Xbox Live. The question is, “What does YOUR mom mean to YOU?”. Is she the person that kisses your cuts when you fall off your bike? Or the person that comes home from work everyday exhausted but still loves you? While you think about what your mom means to you, I’ll tell you what my mom means to ME. My mom is caring. Thoughtful. Helpful. Cheerful. Always needs a cup of coffee in the morning. She’s all of those things and more. She kisses my cuts when I make a mistake and cheers me on when I’m failing. She gives me the imaginary medal when I succeed and tells me how great I’m doing when I’m succeeding. She fixes my mistakes and shows them to me. She helps me succeed and is my foundation. Thank you for being there mom, I love you. Always.

That’s what my mom means to me. What does your mom mean to you? Post a reply to answer my question. I’ll even?read it to?everyone on here if you suggest it in the reply. Or if you’re older, maybe it’s your wife you’re celebrating today. You should tell her how good she is at being a mother. Or if you don’t have kids, tell her how great of a mother she WOULD be. And don’t just treat her special today, treat her special EVERY day. Just make it EVEN more special when it’s Mother’s Day. Mothers help us get through life. They cook our meals, clean the house, wash the dishes and wash our dirty laundry. Most of the time. My dad cooks and cleans, washes the dishes too! I know how to do those things, so most of my mom’s time is spent breaking up the fights. I don’t see how she can put up with the arguing, fussing, fighting and generally everything we throw at her. She’s the best you could ask for. If you can’t see your mom is doing this, look harder. She’s doing it, you just don’t know it. She’s always there for you. No matter what. Always in your heart, mind and spirit. Always.

Christmas

Tis the season to talk about Christmas. But before I continue with this post, I would like to wish you all a early Merry Christmas. And I would also like to say that this post is not ment to offend any religion or any person. I do not want to offend any person out there who does not celebrate Christmas. I hope you all are going to sit down with your families by the fire or have a happy Christmas dinner. Just sit back and enjoy this post and relax. Or grab a cup of coffee or hot chocolate?and sit with your family while we go over Christmas history.

For those of you who are Christians reading this, you know that Christmas is Jesus’s birthday. For those people who aren’t Christians, now you know why we celebrate Christmas. And I’m pretty sure that there is a similar reason for why you celebrate Christmas (or what ever it is that you call it in different countries). If you have ever looked?at the word Christmas, you can see that?it is seperated into the words “Christ” and the?word “mas”.?The word Christmas originated as a compound meaning “Christ’s Mass”. It is derived from the?Middle English?Christemasse and Old English Cristes m?sse. “Cristes” is from Greek Christos and“m?sse”is from Latin missa (missa meaning “the holy mass”). Now that you know what the word Christmas means, let’s take a look at what Christmas is about.

Jesus was born on Christmas day to free us of our sins. We celebrate Easter because Jesus died to save us of our sins. That was what he was born to do for us, and took it upon himself to help all that needed his help. We honor him by naming Christmas day after him. But we don’t just honor Jesus on Christmas, we give thanks. I know that is what Thanksgiving is for, but we can give thanks any day. But what I want to know is, what does Christmas mean to you? I want you to reply to this post and say what Christmas means to you. It could be simple or detailed. If you don’t want to reply, you could contact me on my contact page. I would like to tell you what we also honor Jesus with. We honor him with our laughter ringing around the room. We honor him as being happy and grateful to everything we are provided with. We let him see our happy faces and fell our warm hearts. Let our joy wash over him and bring a smile to his face. This is what we honor Jesus with, this is what makes Christmas important. Before I end this post, I would like to say a few things in the next paragraph.

Can you hear the laughter coming from friends and family ringing around the room? Can you see their rosy cheeks, or smell the love in the air. Taste the happiness ready to burst, when your tongue escapes your mouth? Or feel the warm hands of loved ones. Or do you feel the heat from the fire in your cabin? See your family in the room, hear your child’s laughter as he plays around the room? And for the children reading this, do you see the presents under the tree? Or the ones in your hand. Do you see your siblings laughing and playing? Or your mom and dad in their chairs with love in their eyes? Is this what you see at Christmas time? There’s only one question on my mind, and that is, what do you see at Christmas time? Only you can answer that, only you can answer that my friend.
